Network of Coaches

During 2022 and 2023, the Lab development team worked intensively with a global network of coaches to test tools and help scale up policy experimentation and learning across different organisational and geographical contexts. Coaches are engaged with transformative change in innovation, research or development settings. They are either working on Transformative Innovation Policy already, or looking to embed this approach within their portfolio, skill set, or monitoring, evaluation and learning.

Coaches have generously shared their insights and expertise to improve the user experience of the Lab. Those listed below have completed a series of experiential workshops – or worked independently to test and apply the tools, sharing their feedback with the development team.  They have also participated in extra meetings for shared reflection and enquiry on components as a cohort.

Coaches have built up a good understanding of:

  • how the Lab is structured;
  • how the contents might be used to develop and stretch transformative initiatives; and
  • how to apply the tools to practical policy and funding challenges.

They have also developed connections with peers working on transformative initiatives globally, and gained access to diverse geographical knowledge and insight.

Most coaches are open to connecting for peer learning, mentoring, sharing their expertise or experience, or discussions about consultancy or research collaboration (see bios). They will continue to collaborate with the development team to put resources into practical use and to strengthen the TIP knowledge community.
