Research Fellow, Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex, UK
Dr Melina Galdos is a Research Fellow at SPRU. Her research focuses on understanding how different actors perceive and act on innovation, particularly by examining the case of transformative innovations in Latin America.
Her interests revolve around the role of universities, organisations’ normative expectations, and researchers’ values and beliefs in relation to the potential of innovation to overcome social exclusion.
Melina is the founder of the social initiative, Kamaq, and Secretary of the non-profit civil organisation, Científicos.pe, which carries out and promotes activities for education, science, technology and innovation in Peru.
