This presentation from an EIT Climate-KIC Transitions Hub workshop is an introduction and training roadmap, designed to help practitioners understand and apply a Theory of Change grounded in sustainability transitions thinking.
It was used in an International Sustainability Transitions (IST) training context and acts as a capacity‑building guide for designing interventions that aim for deep systemic change toward sustainability.
It explains how a standard ‘Theory of Change’ approach – which maps how activities are expected to lead to desired outcomes – can be enriched by insights from sustainability transitions theory, including socio‑technical systems thinking and multi‑level perspectives on change.
